Behavioral therapy
Behavioral therapy is an umbrella term for types of therapy that seeks to identify and help change potentially self-destructive or unhealthy behaviors. It functions on the idea that all behaviors are learned and that unhealthy/undesirable behaviours can be changed to healthy/desirable behaviours. We at Anantam analyse the client’s behaviour, and facilitate the client to learn new, positive behaviours to override or minimise the unwanted behaviour. We at Anantam use REBT, CBT, techniques of Behaviour Modification and an eclectic approach to bring about a change in client’s behaviour.
Individuals of all age groups and in different contexts, can benefit from behavioural therapy, from improving a child’s behaviour to motivating employees to work more efficiently etc. Behavioural therapy is also used as an intervention in a number of psychological and emotional concerns such as: stress, anxiety, phobias (irrational fears), OCD, mood disturbances, Hyperactivity, anger issues etc.
